British athletes will be in action at the IPCAS Para-Snowboard World Championships in La Molina which kick off next week.
Ben Moore (in SB-UL, for athletes with an upper limb impairment) and Owen Pick (in SB-LL2, for athletes with a below the knee lower limb impairment) will both be in action throughout the week.
Ben will be particularly looking forward to the Head to Head Snowboard-Cross, where he is unbeaten in competition this season. The finals of this take place on the 24th February with training days on the 22nd and 23rd.
After a day off, the riders will return to compete in the Banked Slalom competition with training days on the 26th and 27th before the finals on the 28th. Owen will be up against some tough competition throughout, with the American’s being particularly strong in the SB-LL2 class, but he will be looking to continue his good form from earlier in the year and maybe spring a surprise.
The IPCAS Para-Snowboard World Championships will be streamed live at ParalympicSport.TV and viewers will be able to see over 80 athletes from nearly 20 countries in the biggest gathering of para-snowboarders since Sochi 2014.
