British Aerials skier Lloyd Wallace finished a fantastic 11th place in the World Cup Finals in Raubichi, Belarus. This was the first time Lloyd had made the finals. Lloyd said: “It felt really good, I’m so psyched, especially after having had a terrible training day yesterday with awkward conditions. I really wasn’t expecting to make finals this season, but I guess I knew it was possible if I was both good and lucky at the same time”.
11th Is Britain’s best Aerials World Cup result since Raz Cobbing’s 7th at Oberjoch in 1995. Lloyd finishes the season ranked 24th in the World Cup Grand Prix. He now has 4 Europa Cups in the Alps followed by the Junior World Championships on 24th March.
In Park City, James Woods finished a credible 7th place in the Men’s Ski Slopestyle Finals. After qualifying 5th in his heat, Woodsy couldn’t quite hit a podium spot, but said he was “very happy” with his skiing and that he “just didn’t manage to pull every little piece together” for his final runs. Woodsy is now in La Clusaz, France for the SFR Freestyle Tour. Competition starts today – weather permitting.
