4 films to get you stoked for the winter season

Winter is here, which for many of us means it’s time to start binging on snowsports flicks with the hope that our first taste of powder isn’t too far away.

We would like to share some of our favourite films with you; all guaranteed to get you pining for the snow…

  1. Days of My Youth (2014)

A Red Bull Media House in association with MSP Films masterpiece. Two years in the making has allowed the MSP team to redefine what is possible on skis. Released only a month ago in the UK, the full film is available on iTunes. Here’s the extended trailer…

  1. Horgasm – A love story (2012)

One of the least serious snowboarding films we’ve ever watched… and one of the best. Record breaking snowboarder Torstein Horgmo features in this short Expect Films production. It’s highly entertaining and only 35 minutes long so go on, it would be rude not to…

  1. Afterglow (2014)

Sweetgrass Productions were definitely thinking outside of the box when they came up with this concept. How many of you will be attempting to duck-tape a heap of glow sticks to your ski gear this season for a spot of night skiing?

  1. Supervention (2013)

One of our personal favourites, mostly because of the representation of so many disciplines in one film. It even features a bit of Nordic Skiing. Field Productions have demonstrated their outstanding imagination with some of the ridiculous concepts that the riders are pulling off in this. Check out the trailer. The full movie is available on Netflix.
